What Could You Learn From The World Barista Champion?

James Hoffmann was crowned world barista champion in 2007. He then went on the train the two subsequent world champions. James is now regarded as one of the world’s leading experts on coffee. That’s all very impressive, but what can you learn from the world’s best barista?

Although James Hoffmann is very skilled at making coffee, he has a skill that I believe is even more powerful.

What Has Made Team GB So Successful?

Have we simply got a wealth of sporting talent? Is this just a crop of athletes with exceptional natural talent? Are they just lucky? Are they gaining some form of 'super-power' from the crowds that are cheering them on?

A little while ago I asked a National Head Coach, ‘what separates genuinely world class players from the rest’. His answer was very insightful. One of the keys, at the very highest level, appears to be the way world class players are able to control and switch their focus very quickly within the PDA cycle.
